Yendo Appoints Thibault Fulconis as Chief Financial Officer to Drive Next Growth Phase
Yendo, a fast-growing fintech company renowned for pioneering the vehicle-equity-backed credit card, has announced the appointment of Thibault Fulconis as its new Chief Financial Officer. Fulconis, an experienced financial leader with over 30 years in the banking and fintech sectors, will play a key role in overseeing Yendo’s financial operations, including strategic planning, capital markets management, and financial reporting, as the company enters its next stage of expansion.
Before joining Yendo, Fulconis served as the CFO of Varo Bank, one of the first fully digital banks in the U.S. During his tenure at Varo, he was instrumental in securing the company’s national bank charter from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), marking a significant milestone for the fintech sector. Additionally, Fulconis helped Varo achieve a remarkable 70-fold revenue increase, propelling the company to a valuation surpassing $1 billion.
Fulconis' background also includes serving as Vice Chairman and CFO of Bank of the West, where he held leadership roles that spanned both corporate finance and operational improvements. His career includes senior positions at BNP Paribas, where he honed his expertise in driving financial and operational excellence across both startup environments and established institutions.
Jordan Miller, Yendo’s co-founder and CEO, expressed enthusiasm over Fulconis' appointment, highlighting his wealth of experience in leading financial strategies across different-sized organizations. Miller emphasized that Fulconis' proven track record of scaling businesses would be crucial to Yendo’s success as it continues to grow.
In his new role at Yendo, Fulconis will lead the company’s efforts to expand its customer base, which has already grown significantly. Last year, Yendo saw an impressive growth rate of over 300%, and now serves tens of thousands of customers across 40 states in the U.S. Since its inception, the company’s vehicle-equity-backed credit card has enabled customers to save more than $100 million in interest and fees.
“I am thrilled to be joining Yendo at such a pivotal time in the company’s journey,” said Fulconis. “The team has built a solid foundation, and I look forward to contributing to the continued success of the organization and expanding its positive impact on customers across the nation. I’m excited to be part of a company that is truly making a difference in the financial services space and look forward to unlocking new opportunities for growth.”
Yendo was founded in 2021 with the mission of making financial services more accessible, particularly for individuals who have traditionally been excluded from the financial system due to poor or non-existent credit scores. By leveraging vehicle equity, Yendo allows customers to secure up to $10,000 in revolving credit at a fixed and affordable rate, without relying on traditional credit scoring models.
With its rapid growth and innovative approach, Yendo continues to challenge traditional financial systems and redefine how Americans access and manage credit.
